The calendar celebrates the art of pinball as seen in the work of 12 artists featuring one artist per month. (January is available as a PDF at http://www.pingamejournal.com/09jan.pdf) The cover features a pinup type image created specially for this edition by Capcom (Big Bang Bar) artist Stan Fukuoka. In addition to the usual notation of holidays, each month tells of pinball events that we were aware of at press time. In the pages before the calendar starts, as well as distributed on the month pages, are ads for events and pinball businesses who support the PinGame Journal. There also is a photo feature of many additional artists and examples of their contribution to pinball. While this issue does not have a lot to read, it has a TON to look at, pinball product information and contact information for most of the pinball events happening in 2009.
